Joyce Josephine Nobles Tyler: Tabor City

1944 – 2021

     Joyce Josephine Nobles Tyler of the Emerson Community in Tabor City went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, April 27, at McLeod Loris Hospital. She was 77.

     Joyce was born on April 4, 1944 in Tabor City, to the late Rev. James Nobles and Josephine Nealey Nobles. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph Devon Nobles and James Howard “Buddy” Nobles.

     A funeral service was held at 3 p.m. Thursday, April 29, at Worthington Funeral Home with Rev. Allen Goodman officiating. Interment followed in Myrtle Green Cemetery, Tabor City.

     Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Rev. “Junior” Daniel Tyler of the home; children Melinda T. Price (Kevin) of Tabor City and James Daniel “Danny” Tyler of Loris; sisters Martha Spivey (Jackie) of Whiteville, Linda Perritte of Tabor City, Beth Ann Buffkin of Tabor City, Mary Lou Godwin (Denny) of Clarendon; grandchildren Kendell Harrelson (Hailey), Trey Benton (Brittany), Kendra Wilson (Glenn), Jessica Guyton (Nathan), Kayla Tyler; great-grandchildren Wayland Benton, Wyatt Benton, Grayson Benton, Brantley Hobbs, Gunner Hobbs, Elizabeth Guyton, and Autumn Wilson.
