Neal A. Johnson: Galivants Ferry

1953 – 2021

     Neal A. Johnson of Galivants Ferry passed away Monday, June 21. He was 67.

     Mr. Johnson was born in Horry County, a son of the late Bub Mack Johnson and the late Retha Johnson. He was a member of Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church and was a veteran of the United States Army.

     In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Marilyn Johnson; and one brother, Ossie Johnson.

     Survivors include his son, Brian Johnson of Loris; his daughter, Camisha Johnson of Galivants Ferry; three brothers, Weldon Johnson of Newark, New Jersey, Willie Johnson of Hillside, New Jersey, and Mayo Johnson of Galivants Ferry; three sisters, Millar Steele of Newark, New Jersey, Lula McCall of Dover, Delaware, Karol “Kim” Morgan of Jonesboro, Georgia; special and two grandchildren.

     Family planned to receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, June 25, at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Loris Chapel.

     A graveside service, with Military Honors was planned for 11 a.m. Saturday, June 26, at Silver Star #2 Cemetery with Rev. Leamon P. Bellamy officiating.

     Family requests that all who attend wear a mask and practice social distancing.
