Christine Corin Canady Coleman: Tabor City
1944 – 2021
Christine Corin Canady Coleman of Tabor City went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, Aug. 19, at the Lower Cape Fear LifeCare Center in Whiteville. She was 76.
Chris, as she was lovingly known, was born Nov. 7, 1944, in Jacksonville, Florida, to the late Austin Leon and Myrtle Geddings Canady. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Rev. Dr. David Lee Coleman, former Pastor of Clarendon Baptist Church.
She was employed as an administrative assistant at Homeowners Mortgage for eight years and at Fleetwood Mortgage for five years and later was employed at Williams Township School until her retirement, due to declining health.
Survivors include her son, Jonathan David Coleman of Tabor City; and siblings Austin Leon “Timmy” Canady, Jr. and Kim Cassandra Canady of Shallotte.
A celebration of life service was planned for 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 23, at Clarendon Baptist Church with Phyllis Elvington officiating.
