Wilma Harris: Loris

1937 – 2021

     Wilma Harris of Loris passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 17 after being blessed with 84 years of life.

     Wilma was born in Loris on May 3, 1937.

     She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Levon Harris; sons Steve Harris, Glenn Harris and wife, Melissa; daughter Michelle Long and husband, Scott; sister Carolyn Tyler; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

     She was predeceased by her father, Rev. Otto Edwards and mother, Sallie Ward Edwards; three brothers, Odell Edwards, John Edwards, and Alfred Edwards; four sisters, Mary Baldwin, Myrtle Eubanks, Ethel Mincey, and Joann Stevens.

     Wilma was a loving devoted Christian, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She lived and loved by the word of God and touched the lives of many by putting others first.

     Wilma was a Baptist minister’s daughter, a deacon’s wife and herself being a Sunday School Teacher of 55 years. She was a loving homemaker and also a member of Cane Branch Baptist Church.

     Due to concerns regarding the coronavirus the family has elected to have private services.
