Lee Ethel Vereen: Tabor City

1952 – 2021

     Lee Ethel Vereen of Tabor City died Saturday, Aug. 21, at Atrium Health Union in Monroe. She was 68.

     Surviving are her sons, Darrick Vereen and Harry McCoy of Tabor City and Ralph Vance McCoy of Wadesboro; brothers, Charles Vereen of Elizabeth City, Franklin Vereen and Albert Vereen of Columbia, Darrell Vereen of Whiteville, and Marvin Vereen of Raleigh.

     A walk through viewing was planned from 5 to 6 p.m. Friday, Aug. 27, at Peoples Funeral Home of Whiteville.

     Her funeral was planned for 11 am. Saturday, Aug. 28, on the lawn of Club 15 Civic Center, Jarvis Street in Tabor City, officiated by Pastor John C. Williams Jr. of Holy Light Holiness Church, burial following in Columbus County Singing Union Cemetery.

     Services will be live-streamed on the Peoples Funeral Home of Whiteville Facebook page.
