Pauline Causey Williams: Loris

1926 – 2021

     Pauline Causey Williams passed away on Monday, Aug. 30, 2021 at her home in Loris. She was 94.

     Born Sept. 17, 1926 in Nichols, she was the daughter of the late Mayberry Causey and the late Bertha Elliott Causey.

     Mrs. Williams was a loving mother and homemaker who enjoyed gardening and working on the family farm. She was an extraordinary cook and a faithful member of Pleasant Meadow Baptist Church.

     Survivors include her two sons, Ronald “Ronnie” Williams and wife Pat and Paul Williams, all of Loris; four daughters, Janice Ghent and husband Rev. Randy of Loris, Judy Bellamy and husband, David of Nichols, Barbara Bellamy and husband Hugh of Loris, and Sandie Mitchum and husband Dr. Mark Mitchum of Cary; thirteen grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.

     In addition to her parents, Mrs. Williams was predeceased by her husband, John Daniel “J.D.” Williams; son Johnny Williams and wife Peggy A. Williams; two brothers, Claudus Causey and Frank Causey, Sr.; four sisters, Essie McCrackin, Reba Strickland, Christine Collins, and Bertha Mae Strickland.

     Graveside services were planned for 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 3, at Pleasant Meadow Cemetery with Rev. Randy Ghent, Rev. Hunter Johnson, and Rev. Rocky Gregory officiating.

     Family planned to receive friends immediately following services at the cemetery.
