Henry D. Epps: Whiteville

1945 – 2021

     Henry D. Epps of the Sandhill community in Whiteville went to be with his Lord on Saturday, Sept. 4, at Columbus Regional Healthcare in Whiteville. He was 75.

     He was born Sept. 17, 1945, in Columbus County to the late John and Estelle Epps, Sr.

     Survivors include one son, Clarence Kabir Jones of Patterson, New Jersey; two daughters, Harriett Epps of Whiteville and LaTisha Willougby of Greensboro; two brothers, Frederick Epps and Angelo Epps of Paterson, New Jersey; two sisters, Bessie Southern of Whiteville and Elouise Huckaby of Bristol, Connecticut; and a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

     A walk-through viewing was planned from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 10, at D&A Funeral Services Chapel, 212 South Wilkes Street, Chadbourn.

     A graveside service was planned for noon Saturday, Sept. 11, at Sandhill Baptist Cemetery, 15580 Twisted Hickory Road, Bladenboro, with Rev. Earl Godfrey officiating.
