Dara Dorman Shaw Holmes: Conway

1969 – 2021

     Dara Dorman Shaw Holmes of Conway passed away on Thursday, Oct. 21, at McLeod Seacoast in Little River. She was 52.

     Born April 25, 1969 in Conway, she was the daughter of Marion Odell Dorman and the late Evelyn Boyd Dorman.

     Dara worked as a paramedic with Horry County Fire and Rescue for 23 years until her medical retirement. She was a member of Advancing the Kingdom Church in Conway. She will be remembered as a loving mother, wife, outstanding friend, and prayer warrior.

     Survivors, in addition to her father; are her husband, Tim Holmes of Conway; three children, Zach Cooper and wife Tara of Myrtle Beach, Jake Cooper and wife Shelby-Anne of High Point, and Elijah Shaw of Conway; three grandchildren, Grace Cooper, Bennett Cooper, and Avery Cooper; a sister, Dana Groome and husband Brent of Conway; and niece and nephew Kirby Altman and husband Clay and Evan Groome of Conway.

     Funeral services were planned for 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 1, at Good Hope Baptist Church with Pastor John Sullivan officiating.

     Visitation was planned for immediately following the services in the church fellowship hall. Private committal services were planned.
