William Elwood Watts: Supply
1930 – 2021
William Elwood Watts of Supply died Friday Nov. 19, in Lower Cape Hospice House, Bolivia. He was 91.
Born in Columbus County, he was the son of the late Elbert Walker Watts and Dessie Maryliza Watts.
William was a member of Boones Neck Baptist Church, Supply, where he served as deacon.
He was also a Master Mason and member of Gate City Lodge 694 and a Shriner with Jamil Shriners.
He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Fonnie G. Watts of the home; two daughters, Ann W. Bracey of Rock Hill and Cathy J. Steele and husband Jimmy Mack of Summerville; two sisters, Carrie Mae Clark and Mary K. Norris, both of Richmond, Virginia; five grandchildren, Scottie, Ashley, Jessica, Kerri, and Kristin; five great-grandchildren, Jacob, Nate, Ashton, Luke, and Kansas.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Ricky Bracey; and one brother, Littlejohn Watts
Funeral services were planned for 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 23, in Carolina Baptist Church, Green Sea, burial following in the church cemetery.
Family planned to receive friends during the hour preceding the service in the church.
