Donna Buffkin Shelley: Green Sea

1950 – 2021

     Donna Buffkin Shelley of Green Sea passed away Sunday, Dec. 12, at home. She was 71.

     Born Sept. 26, 1950 in Columbus County, she was the daughter of the late Jamison and Lucille (Strickland) Buffkin.

     Donna was the office manager and insurance clerk for Doctors Stout and Grubb for many years and was very active in Green Sea Baptist Church.

     Survivors include her husband, Tony Shelley of the home; a son, Ryan Shelley of Socastee; a daughter, Hope Sarvis of Loris; brothers Terry Buffkin of Loris and Lane Buffkin of Whiteville; sister Mary O’Brien of California; and many grandchildren, in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

     She was preceded in death by a brother, Kenny Buffkin; and sisters April Gray and Linda Hopkins.

     A memorial service was planned for 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 15, in Green Sea Baptist Church, with Rev. Charles Brust officiating.

     Family planned to receive friends during the hour preceding the service in the church.
