Betty Canady Williamson: Green Sea

1935 – 2021

     Betty Canady Williamson of Green Sea died Thursday, Dec. 23, in her home. She was 86.

     Born in Columbus County she was the daughter of the late Donnie and Mary Long Canady and widow of Grover Zebedee Williamson, Jr.

     She is survived by a son, Rusty Williamson of Green Sea; one daughter, Dean Williamson Fowler of Green Sea; a brother, Ray Canady of Tabor City; two sisters, Lula Mae Causey of Shallotte and Linda Long of Whiteville; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two step great-grandchildren.

     Family extends a special thank you to Paula Hall, Wendy Duncan, Selina Gore, and LeAnn with Crescent Hospice.

     A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 26, in Green Sea Baptist Church, burial following in Williamson Cemetery, Green Sea.

     Visitation was planned for the hour preceding the service in the church fellowship hall.
