Elma Lorraine Long Hinson: Tabor City

1936 – 2022

     Elma Lorraine Long Hinson of Tabor City widow of Daniel R. Hinson, Sr. and later Joe Garland Nealey, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 8, at Columbus Regional Healthcare. She was 85.

     She was born Nov. 17, 1936 in Tabor City, daughter of the late Roy Wilson Long and Elma Estaleen (Jacobs) Long.

     Survivors include one son, Daniel Hinson, Jr.; one daughter, Myra Daye Hinson; one brother, Johnny Edward Long; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

     She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Ronald Wilson Long and Leroy Long; and a grandson, Davy Lovette.

     Funeral Services will were planned for 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 11, in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Randy Ghent officiating, burial following in Wright Cemetery.

     Family planned to receive friends during the hour preceding the service in the in the chapel.
