Lessie Denise Jackson: Cerro Gordo

1961 – 2021

     Lessie Denise Jackson of Cerro Gordo died on Wednesday, Feb. 23 at Columbus Regional Healthcare in Whiteville. She was 61.

     She was born Jan. 16, 1961 and was the daughter of the late George Williams and Betty Jackson.

     She is survived by her sons, Loron Jackson of Cerro Gordo and Jamon Jackson of Chadbourn; a sister, Patrina Jackson of Whiteville; a brother ,William Jackson of Bladenboro; three grandsons; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

     A walk-through viewing was planned from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 1, at D&A Funeral Services Chapel in Chadbourn.

     A funeral service was planned for 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 2, at Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church, 5333 Andrew Jackson Hwy SW, Chadbourn, with Reverend Andrico Chestnut as eulogist, burial following at her home on Pine Street, Cerro Gordo.

     Family planned to receive guests at 127 Pine Street, Cerro Gordo. Family asks that all guests wear facial coverings.
