Yvonne Reyes Johnson: Nichols

1951 – 2022

     Yvonne “Evie” Reyes Johnson of Nichols passed away on Monday, March 21, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was 71.

     Born March 20, 1951 in New York, New York, she was the daughter of the late Modesto Reyes and the late Istra Ortiz Reyes. Mrs. Yvonne worked with Baptist Hospital of Miami as Administrative Assistant for 20 years until her retirement.

     Survivors include her husband of 44 years, Richard Johnson of Nichols; three sons, Jason Johnson and wife Valerie of Aynor, Derek Johnson and wife Kayla of Four Oaks, and Michael Johnson and wife Kaitlynn of Sedalia, Missouri; six grandchildren, Austin Johnson, Amelia Johnson, Selah Johnson, Elijah Johnson, Kamryn Montgomery, and Alauria Montgomery; and two brothers, Carl M. Reyes of Miami, Florida and Louie R. Reyes of Nichols.

     Memorial services were planned for 11 a.m. Saturday, April 2, at Pleasant View Baptist Church with Pastor Kevin McAnulty officiating.

     Family planned to receive friends during the hour preceding the service at the church.
