Sarah Margaret Long: Nakina

1945 – 2022

     Sarah Margaret Long of Nakina passed away Friday, April 29, at Columbus Regional Healthcare in Whiteville. She was 77.

     Sarah was born March 11, 1945 in Paterson, New Jersey, the daughter of the late John Burton and Helen Bishop Burton.

     Survivors include three sons, Bobby Morris Long Jr. and Christopher Alan Long of Nakina and Randy Lee Long of Whiteville; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

     Sarah was preceded in death by her parents and former husband, Bobby Morris Long, Sr.

     A graveside funeral service was planned for 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 4, at Long Cemetery on Pine Level Church Road, Nakina, with Pastor Roger Coffey officiating.
