John Thomas Burroughs: Loris

1967 – 2022

     John Thomas Burroughs of Loris died Friday, May 6, in his home. He was 54.

     Born in Horry County, he was the son of the late Volley Reese Burroughs Jr. “VR” and Ann Fowler Burroughs. He is survived by the mother of his children, Tabitha Lynn Jones of Loris; two sons, Thomas Trace Burroughs and Holden Reese Burroughs of Loris; a daughter, Amber Lynn Burroughs of Loris; one brother, Trent Burroughs of Tabor City; two grandchildren, Jayce Burroughs and Kaeclyn Poston; three sisters, Ruthann Swanson of Hendersonville, Cindy Phillips of Wake Forest, and Susan Gibson of North Pole, Alaska.

     Graveside services were planned for 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 11, in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Tabor City.

     Family planned to receive friends following the service at the cemetery.
