Betty Stone Williamson: Cerro Gordo

1944 – 2022

     Betty Stone Williamson of Cerro Gordo died Friday, June, 10, in the Lower Cape Fear Angel House, Whiteville. She was 78.

     Born in Robeson County, she was the daughter of the late Hubert Stone and Imjean Stone.

     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Williamson; daughter Ashley Williamson; and sister Stormy Stone.

     She is survived by one brother, Butch Stone of Kentucky; sisters Teddy Stone of Sanford, Dixie Gurkin of Leland, Jackie Bass and Melody Bullock of Lake View, and Starla Graves of Kentucky; and a grandson.

     Funeral services were planned for 3 p.m. Monday, June 13, at Porter Swamp Baptist Church, interment following in the Porter Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery.

     Visitation was planned for the hour preceding the service in the church.
