Rachel Clara Jane Lang: Raleigh

1927 – 2022

     Rachel Clara Jane McPherson Duncan Lang of Raleigh died July 2. She was 93.

     She was a daughter of the late Porter and Ella (Cribb) McPherson of the Beaverdam Community in Columbus County.

     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings Leon, Bessie, Rebecca, Carson, Vera, and Phillip; her first husband, Sterling Duncan; second husband Roy Lang; a son, Jerry Delane Duncan; and daughter Peggy Jane Duncan.

     She is survived by her son, Russell Wayne Duncan; three grandsons; ten great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

     A celebration of Rachel’s life was planned for 2 p.m. Saturday, July 9, at Beaverdam Original Free Will Baptist Church, burial following in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Tabor City.

     Visitation and viewing was planned for the hour preceding the service in the church.
