Clara Mae Floyd: Tabor City

1940 – 2022

     Clara Mae Floyd of Tabor City died Sunday, July 3, in her home. She was 81.

     Born Oct. 29, 1940 in Columbus County, she was the daughter of the late Carl Cleveland Prince and Gussie Mae Arnette Prince and the widow of Ted Leo Floyd.

     She is survived by one daughter, Debbie Floyd of Tabor City; two brothers, Rocky Prince and Charles “Eddie” Prince of Tabor City; three sisters, Mildred Gilmore of Portsmouth, Virginia, Pearl Fax and Mazie Heath of Tabor City.

     In addition to husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Kirk Cleveland Floyd; and one brother, Tex Prince.

     Visitation was planned from 3 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, July 6, in Inman Ward Funeral Home.

     A graveside service was planned for 10 a.m. Thursday, July 7, in Green Sea Cemetery.
