Maxie Oliver “Max” Hammond of Tabor City died Friday, July 15, in Columbus Regional Healthcare, Whiteville. He was 69.
He was born July 18, 1952 in Mullins, a son of the late Weldon Charles Hammond and Ethel Brown Hammond.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Donna Harrelson Hammond of the home; one son, Justin Oliver Hammond of Sunset Beach; two brothers, Weldon Charles Hammond, Jr. of Mullins and Ricky Stephen Hammond of Nichols; a sister, Brenda Hardwick Arnette of Nichols; and one grandson.
