Lucille Edwards Shelnut: Green Sea

1939 – 2022

     Lucille Edwards Shelnut of Green Sea, widow of Willie B. “Bob” Shelnut, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 17, 2022 in MUSC Marion Medical Center. She was 83.

     She was born March 12, 1939, a daughter of the late Gordon and Lou (Williams) Edwards.

     She is survived by two sons, Johnny Dale Bruton of Green Sea and Donald Kim Bruton and wife Sharra of Loris; six grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.

     She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; one brother, J. D. Edwards; and six sisters, Sallie Mae Floyd Tyler, Elnita Shelley, Coleen Ford, Elease Mungo, Mary Alice Davis and Pauline Galloway.

     Funeral services were planned for 3 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 20, in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel, burial following in Forest Lawn Cemetery.

     Family planned to receive friends during the hour preceding the service in the chapel.
