Margaret Simmons: Loris

1946 – 2022

     Margaret Simmons of Loris passed away on Friday, Nov. 4, at McLeod Loris hospital. She was 76.

     Born July 24, 1946 in Laie, Hawaii, she was the daughter of the late Carlos Martinez and the late Mary Manaouwai Kanaina Martinez.

     Survivors include her husband of 52 years, John Headly Simmons; a son, Johnny Keone Simmons and wife Jill of Madison, Wisconsin; daughter Renae Puanani Simmons and wife Inayah; two grandchildren, Jordan Kiana Simmons and Cade Alika Simmons; seven siblings, Josephine Niau, Mary Ann Miner, Magnolia Ebanks, Blossom Faufata, Sallie Siangco, Jane Hiro, and Angel Gengler.

     In addition to her parents, Mrs. Simmons was predeceased by her siblings, Quinten “Biggie” Martinez, Carlos Sonny Martinez, Jr., and Barbara Martinez.
