Eva Lee Bryant Price: Loris

1954 – 2022

     Eva Lee Bryant Price of Loris passed away in her sleep on Monday evening, Nov. 21. She was 68.

     Born March 18, 1954 in Conway, she was the daughter of the late Purvis Bryant and the late Nancy Ann Blackman Bryant. Mrs. Price was especially proud of her full blooded American Indian heritage, and was affectionately known as “Standing Deer” by the Chicora Indian People of South Carolina tribe of which she was a member.

     Survivors include her two children, Ron Sheppard, Jr. and wife Stacey, and Leigh Stevens and her husband Doug, all of Loris; eight loving grandchildren, Dougie Stevens, Daniel Stevens, Caitlin Sheppard, Jaxon Hall, Khloe Sheppard, Faith Lightsey, Destiny Lightsey, and Ethan Caldwell; four brothers, Alton (Pete) Bryant and wife Ester, Billy Bryant and wife Connie, Donald Ray Bryant and wife Ramona, and Jimmy Bryant; and two sisters, Mildred Herring and Donna Faye Bryant.

     In addition to her parents, Mrs. Price was predeceased by her granddaughter, Sheyenne Fowler; and her brother, Carson Bryant.

     Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 27, at Carter Cemetery.
