Betty Ann Hinson: Tabor City

1936 – 2022

     Betty Ann (Stammer) Hinson of Tabor City died Saturday, Dec. 17, in McLeod Seacoast hospital, Little River. She was 86.

     She was born Jan. 25, 1936 in Evansville, Indiana.

     She was the beloved wife of Lloyd “Dick” Daniel Hinson and the daughter of Frank Stammer and Hazel Stammer Scott.

     She was a beloved sister, mama, and grandma to everyone. She was a member of Forest Lawn Baptist Church where she worked in the nursery and Celebrate Recovery.

     She was predeceased by her husband and parents; a son, Ronald James Hinson; a daughter, Roxanne Jett; grandson Michael Holmes; great grandson Malachi Hinson; and siblings Richard Stammer, Jim Stammer, Ronnie Stammer, Judy Frank and Terry Scott.

     She is survived by children Roseann Dudney, Sherry Strickland (Charles), Annette Gaskins, Richard Hinson (Velvet), Duanne Hinson; grandchildren Mark, Andrea, Trista, Jeremy, Aaron, Trevor, Ashley, Noah, Santanna, Adam and Daniel; and great grandchildren Regina, Mason, Dylan, Harley, Jaydon, Kaydence, Abigail, Loren, Eden, Lilli, Madeline, Skylar, Colton, Ava Jean, Sadie, Gage, Drake and Spencer.

     A memorial service was planned for 4 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 21, in Forest Lawn Baptist Church.

     Visitation was planned from 2:30 to 3:45 p.m., preceding the service, in the church.
