Larry Kent Harrelson: Tabor City

1939 – 2023

     Larry Kent Harrelson of Tabor City passed away peacefully on Thursday, Feb. 2, surrounded by his loving family. He was 83.

     He was born in Columbus County on Aug. 29, 1939, the son of the late Cecil Calvin Harrelson and the late Clyde Prince Harrelson.

     Larry is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Genette Jernigan Harrelson; daughters Kathie Harrelson and Denise Tungate; a son, Larry Kent Harrelson, Jr.; eight grandchildren; and twelve great-great grandchildren.

     In addition to his parents, Larry was predeceased by his brother, Cecil Calvin Harrelson, Jr.; and a son-in-law .

     Graveside services will be held at a future date.
