Robert Lee Suggs: Tabor City

1963 – 2023

     Robert Lee “Ottiwell” Suggs of Tabor City died Monday, March 20,, in his home. He was 59.

     He was born in Columbus County, a son of James Wallace “T Man” Scott and the late Mary Lou (Nealey) Suggs.

     He was a farmer and was with the Tabor City Fire Department for 20 years.

     In addition to his father he is survived by one son, Robert Wayne Suggs; two daughters, Bobbie Nichole “Nikki” Suggs and Mary Evans; a brother, Richard Suggs; one sister, Louise Blanton; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a nephew and two nieces.

     He was preceded in death by his mother and one sister, Bobbie Jo Suggs.

     A funeral service was planned for 2 p.m. Thursday, March 23, in the Inman Ward Funeral Home chapel.

     Family planned to receive friends during the hour preceding the service.
