John Henry Long: Loris

1944 – 2023

     John Henry Long of Loris departed his life on May 8, at Grand Strand Medical Center. He was 79.

     Mr. Long was born on March 10, 1944, in Dothan to the late John Henry and Roberta Long.

     Mr. Long leaves to cherish his loving memories, his wife of 53 years, Maxine Long; his eight children, Angelia Gore, Michael Long, Selena Long, Teresa Nelson, Terry Long, Bobby Long, Timothy Long and Andriette Long; a brother, Robert Lee Long; two sisters; seventeen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

     Funeral services were planned for 11 a.m. Monday, May 15, at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Loris Chapel, with Pastor Anthony Anderson and Rev. Marrell Riggins officiating.

     Visitation was planned for the hour preceding services at the funeral home.
