Sherry Reneé Cartrette Beck: Whiteville

1967 – 2023

     Sherry Reneé Cartrette Beck of Whiteville died Thursday, Sept. 21, in McLeod Loris hospital. She was 59.

     Born May 23, 1967 in Columbus County, she was the daughter of the late Larry Faye Cartrette and Blonnie Mae Cribb Cartrette.

     She was a member of New Horizon Baptist Worship Center where she served as a Sunday School Teacher.

     She is survived by her husband, Douglas Wilson Beck, Jr. of the home; a brother, Michael Cartrette and wife Traci of Whiteville; one sister, Debbie Hartzog and husband David of Goldsboro; a nephew, Cody Reed; and several nieces and nephews.

     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Randy Cartrette; and a sister, Sheila Cartrette Reed.

     Funeral services were planned for 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 24, in New Horizon Baptist Worship Center, burial following in the New Horizon Cemetery.

     Visitation was planned for the hour preceding services in the church.
