Kay C. Rooks: Whiteville

1947 – 2023

     Kay C. Rooks, formerly of Whiteville, died Friday, Oct. 6, surrounded by her family. She was 76.

     Born Jan. 24, 1947, in Nash Countyshe was the daughter of the late Daniel Coleman and Eva Ward Coleman.

     In addition to her parents, she was predeceased in death by her husband, Alfred (Red) Rooks; a grandson, Luke Rooks; and one sister, Deann Edwards.

     She is survived by two sons, Adam Rooks and partner Leanne of Cherry Grove Beach and Justin (Miranda) Rooks of North Myrtle Beach; a grandson, Trent Rooks of North Myrtle Beach; and a granddaughter, Brittany Rooks of Whiteville.

     A memorial service will be held at a later date in Whiteville, NC.
