Thelma Davis Watson: Loris

1937 – 2023

     Thelma Davis Watson of Loris passed away on Saturday, Dec. 2. She was 86.

     Born Feb. 14, 1937, in Loris, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Davis and the late Gladys Tyler Davis.

     Mrs. Watson was a loving homemaker, a caregiver to many, and a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.

     Survivors include her four daughters, Audrey Nealy, Cathy Norris (Terry), Vicki Rogers (Doug), and Kristy Boyd (David); four grandchildren, Robyn Brown, Trey Brown (Jessica), Alisha Stevens (Chris), and Paige Maas (T.J.); ten great-grandchildren, Savannah Soles, Gracie Ford, Hunter Ford, River Ford, Baxton Sellers, Alyx Godwin, Lylian Godwin, Paisley Stevens, Elaina Sellers, and Wyatt Stevens; a brother, Harry Davis (Lionel); and her many beloved pets.

     In addition to her parents, Mrs. Watson was predeceased by her husband, Arlees Baxton Watson; two sons, Allen Watson and Douglas Watson; three great-grandchildren, Marissa Jacobs, Whitney Martin, and Jasmine Soles; three siblings, Dayton Davis, Peggy Watson, and Ruth Bell; and son-in-law Liston Nealy.

     Graveside services were planned for 3 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 5, at Holly Hill Cemetery with Rev. Mack Hutson officiating.
