Jerry D. Elliott: Tabor City

1935 – 2024

     Jerry D. Elliott of Tabor City passed on Saturday, Feb. 17, at his home. He was 88.

     He was born in Nichols, the son of the late Dozier Elliott and Lucille Atkinson Elliott.

     He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Canady Elliott, a son, Frankie Elliott and his parents.

     Mr. Elliott was a retired farmer who loved the land. He was a “Jack of all trades” and a giving person to everyone.

     He is survived by a son, Jimmy Elliott, and a daughter, Joetta Elliott, both of Tabor City; a granddaughter, Ashely Milliken; and a great grandson, Aiden Milliken.

     A memorial service was planned for 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 22, graveside at Peacock’s Columbus Memorial Park with Rev. Marcus Fowler officiating.

     Family planned to receive friends during the hour preceding the service at Peacock Funeral Home.
