Steven Levon Harris: Loris

1958 – 2024

     Steven Levon Harris of Loris, a devoted farmer, loving father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 22. He was 65.

     Born April 10, 1958 in Loris, he was a lifelong resident of the community. Steven graduated from Loris High School and was a member of Cane Branch Baptist Church.

     Steven’s family and friends will deeply miss him. He was a kind-hearted individual with a great sense of humor, a strong work ethic, and a thoughtful spirit. His dedication to farming and construction was only surpassed by his love for his family and friends. He was a dedicated caretaker to his parents, and he had a way of making everyone feel valued. He leaves behind a legacy of warm memories and a lifetime of cherished moments. His commitment to his community was unwavering. Steven’s family takes comfort in knowing that his love and legacy will live on through them. “Rest in peace, Steven.”

     Survivors include his daughter, Eliza Harris-Santiago (Aiden); her mother, Julie Benton Kaufman; two precious grandchildren, Tatum and Stella Santiago, who were the apples of his eye; his brother, Glen Harris and wife Melissa, and his father, Levon Harris; as well as many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family.

     Mr. Harris was preceded in death by his mother, Wilma Edwards Harris; and his sister, Michelle Harris, who will all be reunited with him in heaven.

     Funeral services will be private.
