Dennis Earl Grainger: Loris

1942 – 2024

     Dennis Earl Grainger of Loris passed away on Wednesday, March 13. He was 81.

     Dennis was born on May 16, 1942, in Tabor City, the son of the late Braxton Emory Grainger and the late Alma Lucille Williams Grainger.

     Mr. Dennis was a member of Lawndale Baptist Church and worked as a mechanic with Talon and Ithaca, Inc. until his retirement.

     Survivors include his wife, Sue Grainger; son Darion Earl Grainger (Debra Inge); two step-sons, Ronnie Bowen (Annie) and Chris Bowen (Clarissa); eight grandchildren, MacKenzie Grace Grainger, Drake Grainger, Andrew Bowen, Brandon Bowen, Chase Bowen (Katelyn), Jonathon Bowen, Colby Inge (Selena), and Caitye Inge; four great-grandchildren; three siblings, Richard E. Grainger (Nancy), Bonnie Boseman, Margaret Johnson (Bill), and Brenda Bruton (Bobby); and brother-in-law Ricky Harrelson.

     In addition to his parents, Mr. Grainger was predeceased by two sisters, Anna Rogers and Linda Harrelson.

     Graveside services were planned for 2 p.m. Saturday, March 16, at Mt. Zion Cemetery with Rev. Lloyd Phipps and Pastor Kelly Johnson officiating.

     Family planned to receive immediately following the service at the cemetery.
