Marilyn Ward: Whiteville

1937 – 2024

     Marilyn Rose McKee Ward of Whiteville passed away peacefully on Saturday April 6. She was 87.

     Born March 10, 1937, Marilyn was the daughter of Dennis T. McKee and Clara Ruth “Mama Kee” Benton McKee Bass.

     Preceding her in death were her parents, stepfather William Joseph Bass, and husband John L. Ward.

     She is survived by two daughters, Karla Denise Ward of North Myrtle Beach and Kelli Ward Tilley (Tim) of High Point.

     Her funeral service was planned for 11 a.m. Saturday, April 13, at Peacock Funeral Home Chapel, 1227 South Madison Street in Whiteville, interment following at Lebanon Methodist Church Cemetery, 9237 James B. White Hwy. South, Whiteville, with Rev. Susannah Pittman, Rev. Barry Drum, and Rev. Buddy Seay officiating.

     Family planned to receive friends during the hour preceding the service.
