Martha Lynn Grainger: Tabor City

1953 – 2024

     Martha Lynn Grainger of Tabor City died Saturday, Nov. 2, in McLeod Seacoast hospital, Little River. She was 71.

     Born Feb. 24, 1953 in Robeson County, she was the daughter of the late Rudolph Jenkins and Marlene Williamson Jenkins.

     She was a very active and faithful member of Emmanuel Holiness Church.

     She is survived by her husband, Mitchell Dale Grainger of the home; two sons, Jeffrey Hopkins and wife Heather of Dillon and Jack Hopkins, Jr. of Dillon; one daughter, Angela Lynn Hopkins of Tabor City; a brother, Terry Jenkins of Latta; one sister, Rhonda Johnson of Dillon; eight grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.

     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Jerry Wayne Jenkins and James Jenkins; a sister, Vickie Faye Jenkins; step dad Norlie Meares; and daughter in-law Melissa Hopkins.

     In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Emmanuel Holiness Church, 310 N. Wall Street, Tabor City, NC 28463.

     Funeral services were planned for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6, in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel, burial following in Forest Lawn Cemetery.

     Family planned to receive friends during the hour preceding services in the chapel.
