Shell building ground breaking

With heavy equipment already moving tons of earth in the behind them, town, county and state leaders formerly broke ground on a new industrial shell building at the Tabor Industrial Park Friday morning. Cooperation between town, county and state governments, Golden LEAF Foundation, and other partners was the theme for a brief program. Taking part were, from left, Tabor City Mayor pro tem Lamont Grate, Mayor Royce Harper, state Rep. Brenden Jones, county commissioners Brent Watts, Barbara Featherson and board chair Lavern Coleman, Golden LEAF Senior Vice President Ted Lord, commissioner Scott Floyd, and County Manager Eddie Madden.
