Hilda Cox Todd: Loris

1940 – 2025

     Hilda Cox Todd of Loris passed away on Friday, Dec. 12, at McLeod Seacoast hospital. She was 85.

     Born Sept. 26, 1940, in Loris, she was the daughter of the late Mack Daniel Cox and the late Leila Vereen Cox.

     Mrs. Todd was a loving homemaker, a member of the Gideons International Auxiliary, and a longtime active member of Loris First Baptist Church. She lived a life dedicated to the service of others, deeply loved her family, and was a wonderful cook, who shared her love through every meal.

     Survivors include her loving husband of 65 years, Lawton Edward Todd; a son, Scott Todd (Lisa); grandchildren Emilee Todd McElveen (Drew), and Chandler Scott Todd (Lauren); and great-grandchild Ella Rose McElveen.

     In addition to her parents, Mrs. Todd was predeceased by her infant son, Trent Todd; brothers Dr. J. M. Cox, Henry Cox, and Winston Cox; and sisters Eloise Bell, and Francis Sills.

     Funeral services were planned for 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 15, at Loris First Baptist Church with Pastor Shane Phillips and Rev. Drew Jackson officiating, committal services following at Twin City Memorial Gardens.

     Family planned to visit with friends beginning at 12:30 p.m., prior to services, at Loris First Baptist Church.

     Family requests that memorials be made to Loris First Baptist Church, 3117 Main St., Loris, SC 29569.
