Pearl Todd Boyd: Loris
1945 – 2025
Pearl Todd Boyd of Loris passed away on Monday, Dec. 15, at Embrace Hospice of SC. She was 80.
Born Feb. 21, 1945, in Loris, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Burroughs Todd and the late Lucy Lena Canady Todd.
Mrs. Boyd had 42 years of faithful service with Loris Hospital and McLeod Health before her retirement. She was a faithful member of Beulah Baptist Church, where she served in numerous capacities including, secretary, treasurer, church secretary, and head of the benevolent committee.
Throughout the years Mrs. Boyd earned numerous honors and awards including the Follmer Bronze Merit Award in 1996 and was actively involved with the Hospital Financial Association (HFMA). She was also a charter member of WIRE, Women Involved with Rural Electrification. In her personal life, she enjoyed NASCAR, basketball, and spending time gardening. Above all else, she loved her family dearly and always made the time to attend her grandchildren’s extracurricular activities.
Survivors include her loving daughters, Sharra Boyd Bruton (Donald Kim), and Trenny Page Neff (Joe); grandchildren Mandy Bruton Garcia (Pedro), Luke Bruton, Paige Neff Edwards (Reed), Lucy Neff, and Will Neff; great-grandchildren Bailey Bruton, Braxton Bruton, Jayce Garcia, Jacob Garcia, Briggs Bruton, and Eleanor Edwards; and sister-in-law Edwana Todd.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Boyd was predeceased by her husband, Henry Will Boyd; a brother, Robert Todd; and a very special person in her life, and the only grandparent she every knew, Mandy Canady.
Committal Services were private.
