Douglas Wilson Beck, Jr.: Whiteville

1964 – 2025

     Douglas Wilson Beck, Jr. of Whiteville passed away Tuesday, Dec. 16, in UNC Health Southeastern, Lumberton. He was 61.

     Born March 18, 1964 in Horry County, he was the son of Leona Ward Beck of Tabor City and the late Douglas Wilson Beck, Sr.

     In addition to his mother, he is survived by one brother, Steven Beck (Tammy) of Tabor City; a sister, Renee Beck Penny of Tabor City; two nephews, Steven Beck, Jr. and Houston Penny; two great nephews, Dalton Beck and Camden Penny; and two great nieces, Kealyn Beck and Sadie Beck.

     In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sherry Renee Cartrette Beck.

     Funeral services were planned for 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9, in New Horizon Worship Center, burial following in the New Horizon Cemetery.

     Family planned to receive friends during the hour preceding services in the church.
