Billie Wayne Nealey: Tabor City

1948 – 2025

     Billie Wayne Nealey of Tabor City passed away Saturday, Dec. 27, in his home. He was 77.

     Born July 17, 1948 in Columbus County, he was the son of the late Joe G. Nealey and Clara Lovett Nealey.

     He is survived by his son, Billy Shane Nealey (Mary LeeAnn) of Tabor City; two grandchildren, Colton Shane Nealey (Grayce A.), and Shaylee Claire Nealey of Tabor City; and three sisters, Annie Lee Russell, Betty Jo Smith, and Kathy Cox.

     In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Lee Buck Nealey; and two brothers, Bennie Nealey ad Ronald “Ronnie” Nealey.

     Funeral services were planned for 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 31, in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel, burial following in Wright Cemetery, Minos Meares Road, Tabor City.

     Family planned to receive friends during the hour preceding services in the chapel.
