Mitchell Dale Grainger: Tabor City

1955 – 2026

     Mitchell Dale Grainger of Tabor City, died Wednesday, April 29, in McLeod Loris hospital, Loris. He was 70.

     Born in Loris, he was the son of the late Joseph Linwood Grainger and Juanita Stephens Grainger.

     In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Lynn Jenkins Grainger; and one brother, Kim Linwood Grainger.

     He is survived by two step sons, Jeffrey Hopkins (Heather) and Jack Hopkins Jr. of Dillion; one step daughter, Angela Lynn Hopkins of Tabor City; a cousin, Glenda Elliott of Nichols; and a niece, Kimber Shay Wilson.

     Funeral services were planned for 3 p.m. Sunday, May 3, in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel, burial following in Forest Lawn Cemetery.

     Visitation was planned for the hour preceding services in the chapel.
