Ross Allen May: Galivants Ferry

1938 – 2026

     Ross Allen May of Galivants Ferry passed away on Saturday, May 16, at MUSC Florence Medical Center. He was 87.

     Born June 10, 1938, in Cumberland, Maryland, he was the son of the late Russell May and the late Olive Wolford May.

     Mr. May served his country with courage, honor, and dignity in the United States Army.

     Survivors include his loving wife, Ramona Campbell May; a daughter, Tammy Calderon; step-daughter Jana Pyles; step-son William Church; and many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family.

     In addition to his parents, Mr. May was predeceased by his son, Dennis May; and a brother, Lynn May.

     Memorial services will be held at a later date at Evergreen Freewill Baptist Church.
