Penda Kail Soles of Whiteville passed away Tuesday, May 26, in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was 77.
Born May 9, 1949, in Columbus County, she was the daughter of the late Eva Nobles.
She is survived by her husband, Raeford Soles of the home; one daughter, Angela Thompson (Adam) of Clarendon; a son, Randy Nealey (Frankie) of Sanford; and two grandsons, Dalton Thompson and Nolan Thompson.
Funeral services were planned for 2 p.m. Thursday, May 28, in Beaverdam Original Free Will Baptist Church, burial following in McPherson Cemetery.
Visitation was planned for the hour preceding services in the church.
