Alma Lee Causey Doyle: Loris

1936 – 2026

     Alma Lee Causey Doyle of Loris passed away on Friday, May 29, at McLeod Loris hospital. She was 89.

     Born Sept. 10, 1936, in Loris, she was the daughter of the late John Bailey Causey and the late Vera Todd Causey.

     Survivors include her son, Doug Doyle; seven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and siblings Chellie Wilson, Shirley Jones, Pat Mince, Katie Pearl Weeks, and Donald Causey.

     In addition to her parents, Mrs. Doyle was predeceased by her husband, Ben Duff “B.D.” Doyle; a son, B.J. Doyle; daughters Eloise Doyle, and Clarisse “CC” Sanders; one grandson; and siblings Sylvia Causey, Marie Smith, Thomas Causey, Ronnie Causey, and Robert Causey.

     Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Friday, June 5, at Macedonia Baptist Church with Pastor Pete Johnson officiating. Committal services followed at Twin City Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
