Carl J Edwards: Loris

1940 – 2026

     Carl J Edwards of Loris passed away on Monday, June 8, at his stepdaughter’s home in Loris. He was 85.

     Born Oct. 17, 1940, in Horry County, he was the son of the late Johnnie Edwards and the late Elma Dunn Edwards.

     Survivors include his brother, Joe Edwards; stepdaughters Kathy Mishoe and Debbie Bargiol; six step-grandchildren; eight step great-grandchildren; and other extended family.

     In addition to his parents, Mr. Edwards was predeceased by his brothers, Lonnie B. Edwards, James “Short” Edwards, and Monroe “Bo” Edwards; and a stepson, Randy D. Chestnut, Sr.

     Graveside services were planned for 4 p.m. Thursday, June 11, at Juniper Bay Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. David Watts officiating.
