Harold Liston Hardee: Loris

1944 – 2026

     Harold Liston Hardee of Loris passed away on Thursday, July 30, at Grand Strand Medical Center. He was 82.

     Born May 5, 1944, in Loris, he was the son of the late Liston Thelton Hardee and the late Ethel Lene Skipper Hardee.

     Mr. Hardee served his country with courage and honor in the United States Army and the Army National Guard and was the owner and operator of Liston T. Hardee and Son Land Clearing until his retirement.

     Survivors include his son, Gregory Harold Hardee; stepsons Steven Moe and Carey Moe; stepdaughter Amy Lewis; sisters Annette Wallace and Joyce Freeman; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

     In addition to his parents, Mr. Hardee was predeceased by his wife of 33 years, Judy Ann Stevens Hardee; a grandson; and one brother-in-law.

     Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 2, at Hardwick Memorial Chapel with Pastor Shane Phillips, Rev. Ron Sherwin, and Rev. Ross Altman officiating. Committal services were private.
