Jane Charnley Wegner: Loris

1940 – 2026

     Jane Charnley Wegner of Loris, formerly of Marion, died Thursday, Aug. 27, in Loris Rehab & Nursing Center. She was 85.

     Born in Charlotte, she was the daughter of the late Loren Charnley Sr. and Mary Pate Charnley.

     She is survived by two sons, Donald E. Wegner Jr. of Belmont, and Walter S. Wegner of Pinehurst; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Donald Edward Wegner Sr.; and one brother, Loren Charnley Jr.

     A private celebration of Jane’s life will be held at a later date.
