Mitchell Delane McPherson: Loris

1945 – 2026

     Mitchell Delane McPherson of Loris passed away Friday, August 28, 2026 in the McLeod Loris hospital. He was 81.

     Born April 12, 1945 in Columbus County, he was the son of the late Troy McPherson and Ruby Smith McPherson.

    He was a veteran of the United States Army National Guard.

     He is survived by one brother, Michael “Mike” McPherson and wife Sherry of Tabor City.

     In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Duncan McPherson.

     A graveside service was planned for 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2, in Myrtle Green Cemetery.
