Melton Boyd Dotson: Conway

1940 – 2026

     Melton Boyd Dotson of Conway went home to be with his Lord and Savior, on Sunday, Sept. 6. He was 85.

     He was born and raised in the Paw Creek community of Charlotte.

     Melton was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 61 years, Joan Coley Dotson; his sons, Steven L. Dotson and Jeffrey B. Dotson; brothers Charles Dotson, Robert Dotson, and James Dotson; and a sister, Hattie D. Boesen.

     He leaves behind to cherish his memory his daughter, Susan Nealey; a son, Michael Dotson; two sisters, Nancy D. Helms and Lorene D. Ward; four grandchildren; one great-grandson; and other extended family and friends.

     Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11, at Good Hope Baptist Church with Rev. John Sullivan officiating. Committal services followed at Woodlawn Cemetery.
