Edgar Dwayne Hayes: Whiteville

1964 – 2023

     Edgar Dwayne Hayes, age 58, of Whiteville died Tuesday, Aug. 8, in his home. He was 58.

     Born Nov. 26, 1964, in Columbus County, he was the son of the late Ernest David Hayes Jr. and Clara Belle Strickland Hayes Ivey.

     He is survived by his wife Jennifer Kay Hayes of the home; one son, Joshua Kegan McNair Whiteville; two brothers, Roger Hayes (Pam) of Lumberton and Larry Hayes (Marie) of Whiteville; and two sisters, Wanda Rowland of Fairmont and Teresa McCarty of Lumberton.

     In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one infant son.

     Private services will be held at a later date.
